Okay ladies, I don't really follow any sports but I have a friend who loves baseball. I would like to buy tickets as a birthday present but I have no idea what is considered a "good seat" is there a certain base line or something that gives the best view?

Re: Baseball seats
The most important thing is to make sure you don't get limited view seats, where you're sitting behind a giant support beam or something.
I agree, though, it depends on the stadium. There's not a bad seat in my ballpark (/favoritism) but I generally try to stay away from outfield seats. Sure, you can catch home run balls, and you might see who's in the bullpen before other people do, but you're pretty far from the pitch-by-pitch.

My guess is if your friend is also in Michigan, it's at Comerica Park - I don't think there is a bad seat in the house there.
Obviously the best seats are behind home plate on any level, but we enjoy sitting down the right field line at our park, and when I had season tickets in Oakland I sat in the LF bleachers which I loved.

Yes, it would be at Comerica park.
