Easter Ham

I am hosting Easter dinner (my first time hosting a holiday ever) at our house this year.  I was wondering how many pounds should my Ham be in order to feed 8 people (all adults).  I dont want tons left over, but I also dont want to purchase one too small.

Thanks!

Re: Easter Ham

  • This will be my first easter dinner, and since our good friend will be with in driving distance I invited him and our neighbor (who probably wont come).  So it will just be the 3 of us.  I also made a ham for New Years, and there was again just 3 of us.  I tried looking for the smallest ham I could find, and it was still like 7 pounds, we had left overs for a while, the recipe I used for my ham said 6 pounds would serve up to 8 people, so I would say 10 pound ham you should be good if your guest are big eaters.  Don't forget all the sides and salads are good fillers too.
