Re: and i have a dumb question...

  • I just wanted to say hi and see how Oli is doing today?  All Soy Boys are stained too! :)
  • Neena's are all stained too. And, I have no idea how to get them out. We wash everything in cold.

  • I add Borax to every load, and use Spray & Wash as a pretreater, (you can get a BIG thing of it at Costco, for like $9) it seems to help. I also, after dumping the deturgent in, I rinse out the measuring cup, and pour part of it in the where you would pour the softener.
  • I use Dreft stain remover and it has removed every stain Derek has every put on his clothes.  It even worked during the horrible flu he had.  I just spray it on there as soon as I take his clothes off and let it sit until I do his laundry.  I use cold water on everything.

We have a water softener, though I'm not sure if/how that affects laundering, but otherwise you and I should be dealing with pretty much the same water. I use cold water with Tide Free & Clear and rub OxiClean powder on spots before I throw them in the washer. We have no stains except where Nicholas got ahold of pens and I didn't catch that he wrote on himself. You're welcome to borrow a cup of powder if you don't want to buy a whole tub just to try it. A big container has lasted me almost 4 years.

  • I LOVE Shout Advanced Ultra Gel with the scruber thing at the top.  I have been using it for years and it really works pretty well on M's stuff.  I try and get it on her clothes as soon as possible.  I have like 3 of them all over the house.
  • I have this same problem- thanks for all the product recs!

  • I soak in super hot water and oxyclean. I also hang her clothes outside when I can. The sun bleaches the stains out! I do the same with my cds!
