Hotel in NYC?

My sis and BIL are taking kids overnight in a few weeks --

since they live in Manhattan we decided we'll drop them off and do our own thing in the city. We dont' want to spend a million dollars on a hotel b/c we have plans to do dinner, be out and about and just don't wanna "waste" the money....

Any recs on a decent hotel that wont' cost our life savings?

Re: Hotel in NYC?

  • We usually Priceline a room when we go into NYC. I have to say we have always had really decent rooms when doing that so I say give it a try. There has only been a handful of times that we've booked other ways (through the specific hotel, hotels.com, travelocity etc.) but I always go back to Priceline. Oh and the end of May is Fleet Week so if you go then you'll probably see some cute sailors around ;)

  • Def rec Priceline. Ive used it several times and every time ended up with a gorgeous hotel. Le Meridan, Millennium Hilton, Gainesvoort.
  • H and I have stayed at the Muse Hotel twice and liked it both times. Its nice and I don't think it is overly exspensive plus its close to a lot of stuff
