want to be here today. My manager is in mtgs and my co-worker/teammate is gone til Wed. ugh.
BUT, I think I found a bench for our house (as you walk in) that is maple, antique that Amy and Vanessa helped me find at this store in our area. I LOVE it and it is totally the same type antique furniture that is in my condo. DH and I are going to check it out today and it's a great deal!!!!
Now if this day will only be over QUICKLY.
Re: I SO do not.......
AMEN to that! I have been procrastinating all day too, I guess I'm thinking by the end of the day I'll have a lot to do so it will make the time pass faster. Plus, Jarrett and I are having the dreaded "how are we going to split the holidays" discussion. Ugh. I have never missed a holiday at my house, so it's going to be really tough for me!
It was so good to see you Saturday (although the outcome of the game could have been better!) We will definitely have to get together sometime
Hey Lindsay!!!! Yes, it was great to see you too and Jarrett!!! I'm sure you'll get through the whole holidays thing - just trade off, this year your parents for T'giving and his for Christmas, next year vice versa. Unless both are close enough to see both at Christmas.
DH's parents live in IN so we aren't ever able to go see them at Christmas, they totally understand and we see them during football season and the summer. We go to my parents for Christmas and with the game on T'giving weekend now it's either run down there (to my parents) real quick or stay at home.......... as he doesn't get much if any time for T'giving.
It will all work out.
Yes, I want this day/week to go by fast, esp since we are off this weekend (we totally need it too).
oh my gosh the weather does NOT help at all!!!
I feel the SAME way!! I am so tired from homecoming weekend. It's really hard for me because I'm just coming off of fall break. Now I have to go back to homeschooling. I swear I love the child, but I am just not making enough money! Time to continue on the job hunt.
The gloomy weather is not helping here either!
The dilemma with the holidays is this (or these, lol):
Jarrett works every 3rd holiday, so there is only 1 year out of 3 that he is off for both T-giving and Christmas. He also works every 3rd weekend, so in some cases he might not work the holiday but he has to work the weekend around it. Every year too it's a battle with he and 4 others on who is going to get the days around the holidays off, but working in a hospital we knew it was going to be like this. It wouldn't be a problem for me since I changed positions, but for him...he has to put in for days off and he may or may not get them.
We live about 3.5 hours away from each home, and they are 3.5 hours away from each other. So splitting Christmas isn't really an option, although I wish it were. Plus Christmas Eve isn't considered a holiday here, so we both have to work that whole day (again it would be easier for me to get off than him). Plus with the AU/Bama game being at home next year, there is a good chance we will have tickets. But we will also have a baby then, so i don't know.
I told him he just needs to get a manager's position in the lab so he can have all the time off he wants, lol.
oh my job hunt saga totally continues on. I feel yall's pain.
Lindsay, I hope it all works out!!!
I hope everyone's job woes are over soon
I hear you on this...I am so wanting a new job...one that requires slim to none travel...
