I have a stupid Prince William question
What the heck is his last name? LOL
I was watching that Lifetime movie the other night and this is all I could think about.

Omg, not a stupid question in my opinion - I have no idea either! I just realized I never thought about it!

wikipedia, of course, knows everything.
Apparently, at university and in the military he used "William Wales"
The Prince's style and title in full: His Royal Highness Prince William Arthur Philip Louis of Wales, Royal Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter Master of Arts. As a British prince, William does not use a surname for everyday purposes. For formal and ceremonial purposes, Prince William has used the name of the area over which his father holds title, i.e. Wales (as Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie use York, per their father, Prince Andrew, Duke of York). Past precedent is that such area-based surnames are dropped from usage in adulthood, after which either title alone or family surname is used.[65] For the male-line grandchildren of Elizabeth II, however, there is currently some uncertainty over the correct form of family surname to use, or whether there even is a surname. The Queen has stipulated all her male-line descendants who do not bear the titular dignity of prince shall use Mountbatten-Windsor as their family surname although Letters Patent exist stipulating the name Windsor, but with the same caveat.[66] According to their flight suits as seen in television interviews, Princes William and Harry both continue to use Wales as their surname for military purposes.

That is what I was going to say. It never intrigued me enough to look up but in this day and age it is actually kind of interesting.
I am a huge history dork and a couple of weeks ago, I had this same question. Wiki did not disappoint. Royals often have last names from the towns they were from (the "house of Wales"). This is another interesting article that explains the (lack of) last names: http://www.royalty.nu/Europe/England/Windsor/
I am obsessed with the Royals and all of the fascinating history. I already set my DVR for TLC's week of coverage
i actually had no interest at all but since there was nothing on the other night and i watched the movie, i am excited to watch the wedding now!

I can't really find anywhere what time the actual wedding will air...off to research!
Looks like NBC will carry most of the coverage but I still don't see an exact time for the wedding.
Anyone else know?
From what I read, he basically does not have a last name but does use Wales for military purposes, as was already discussed up above.
I have no idea when coverage starts but I am DVRing it and watching it when I am at work. Benefits of being a nanny. This way I can fast forward through the boring parts.

Welcome to the dark side
I think the media is going so crazy over it but I am excited about seeing any wedding and this just happens to be a big one. I just want to watch the wedding and see the dress, and decorations and flowers.

I don't watch the news a whole lot and we've cut down the cable so E! is out so I'm probably not as overexposed to them as a lot of people. I think she is beautiful and I can't wait to see the dress.
Welcome to the dark side
I do not have cable either. I watch the Today show every morning and stalk entertainment blogs and they have all gone crazy over it.
