Help a reader out - lunch recs near VanAndel?

One of my Eat Local West Michigan readers posted this on my FB wall:

"I was trying to find a local restaurant to eat at April 30th after my graduation. I have a group of 11 and graduation is at the Van Andel Arena at 10 am so it will be for lunch. Any ideas? Let me know. Thanks " 

 I'm thinking it is going to be packed, do any of you know if any of the locally sourced places take reservations? Any other words of wisdom?

Seven years ago, I was able to make a reservation at One Trick Pony for a post-graduation lunch.  She could try them.

Doesn't San Chez use local when possible? We've made a res there before but not for lunch. They'll seat you as long as half your party is there. SC opens at noon on Saturday, but the cafe is open 9-2.

I was going to suggest Bistro but they don't open until 5 pm on a Sat. She may want to call to see if they have special hours that day. It always amazes that some places don't open early for GVSU grad. What a loss of business.

This isn't downtown, but I was going to recommend Electric Cheetah or Green Well.

What is Louis Benton's take on local food?  I wonder if they do anything. I see they are open early for graduation.
