And others who recommended PUPS dog training.

Thanks so much!  We've only been to 2 classes so far and Basil is a changed puppy!!  He's super smart but really needy--I think he's really responding to some of the exercises that make him feel like he's a good worker and a part of a pack with clear and confident leaders.  Already, he's not pulling as much as on the leash and not mauling us to get on our laps while we're watching TV.

Thanks SOOO much!

P.S. I looked for your booth at March for the Animals but I must have missed it.

Re: **NDM**

  • Awesome!! Tell Karen Spike and I say hi :) We still see her a lot though, she helps so many of our pups that are in the rescue and lets our fosters bring any foster dogs for free while they have them, she's awesome about helping rescues. I'm so glad you like her and I'm so happy Basil is already better on his leash!

I was kinda towards the end, the booths you hit first when you were done the loop, but it was so packed in that area I'm sure it was hard to see!

  • We took PUPS after NDM suggested it and LOVED it - it made such a difference with Jackson, while he's still a hellion inside the house he's slowly getting better, and omg, I can walk him through the harbor on the busiest days and he just plods along next to me. It's awesome.

I think we're going to re-take some of the classes to make sure he has it all down-pat and then take the advanced classes.  The mental stimulation associated with training has helped him when he's home alone.

Spike needs a refresher too, I think we're going to start again the next session of classes so they'll be done before football :)

haha rich was SO ticked when I scheduled our classes, bc I picked 1 oclock on sundays in January during playoff season. He was TICKED ha.

Yeah I think we're going to re-do the last few classes. He's just starting to really get "down." We also want to work on his socializing on the leash and the first time through we were just focusing on the basics.

Maybe we'll be in the same class!
