Put PW cinnamon rolls in fridge and bake the next day?

I am making PW cinnamon rolls for Easter morning, but I want to do everything the day before and then just pop them in the oven Easter morning.

Has anyone done this and did they turn out ok?  I'm assuming I need to take them out of the fridge, bring to room temperature and then bake?

I'm a total novice, so any advice is appreciated :)

Re: Put PW cinnamon rolls in fridge and bake the next day?

  • When I baked them I cooked them, cooled them, then put them in the fridge overnight.
I reheated them the morning of at 250 for about 15-20 minutes or until heated through. You can pop them right into the oven from the fridge.
To me they were better because everything had melded together and the cinnamon sugar butter had really settled into the bread.

    HTH!

  • Thanks for this post. I was wondering the same thing. I was kind of thinking I'd refrigerate, and then bring them out and let them rise while at church. Then when I got home I would bake.  The second post made me think that reheating is the way to go though. I'm doing an Easter brunch after a 9:30 service, so I need something that I can have ready quickly.

  • Thanks!!  I'm only doing 1/2 a batch, so it would be super easy to bake on Sat night...and even easier to reheat on Sun morning!    Good to know about the melding together and tasting better.  I was worried they would be a little dry.
  • There is so much freaking butter if they dried out I'd be shocked!!

Oh and I would heed my tip about using softened and not melted butter when making it. I had melted butter all over my table and floor. It was a butter river.

Much easier to work with it softened.

Ha!  True about so much butter.

I pretty much read through all the PW reviews last night (to help mentally prepare myself for this, LOL!) and, yeah, people said the same thing...to use softened butter.  Makes sense!

  • SFL!

I plan to make these soon!
