ANNOUNCEMENT: I have 7 weeks left.  If someone could start thinking about taking this list over in the next 3-4 weeks or so that would be great.

QOTD: The famous hospital bag question. What is everyone else putting in theirs?  Since I've had so many instances the last couple weeks with having to go in, I'm packing my bag now just in case.  But hopefully wont need it anytime soon!

Re: LA Bun in the Oven Check In

  • Update:  Doing well since my scare last week.  Just been taking it REALLY easy.  Erik has been absolutely wonderful.  Taken over all of the household chores without me even having to ask.  Man I love him so much right now.

QOTD:... no clue thats why I asked.

  • UD: Nothing much to UD. Still having issues eating, I have no appetite! My new EDD is 5.18.09

QOTD: This time around I'am taking the bare minimum! Don't know what that is right now but I took way too much stuff last time!

I'd love to take over :)

  • YAY Michele!  Just let me know when you want to and I will email you the list.

I'll also change your due date now.  Sorry about that.

  • I survived a weekend in Vegas.  I think (I hope) the nausea is tapering off.   But...I ate it on the pavement hard this weekend.  I was wearing my last nice pair of jeans that fit, they have a wide leg with a cuff, and I always get my heel caught in the hem.  I've done it a hundred times before but caught myself before I tripped...well not this time.  I'm just a little sore, thankfully only my right hand and my left knee took the blow.  I just about scared my poor DH and my friend to death.   I asked my friend with a 3 month old when the clumsiness had kicked in for her...she said 3 months, lol, looks like I'm right on schedule.  I thought it was more of a gravitational thing, like when your belly is huge it will just pull you down.

QOTD: As DH was putting our empty luggage in the garage last week, he joked "I hate to see what your hospital bag is going to look like."

  • Update:  I've been getting very nauseous lately.  Vomited on my way into work today which is always fun while you're driving.  At Saturday's prenatal yoga class, I got so sick I had to sit down for a while.  Seeing my OB Wednesday and will discuss.  Also having crazy Braxton HIcks contractions.  Last night were so bad but it was coupled with gas (sorry TMI) so they finally subsided.  I'm also 40% effaced per my appt last week.   Final class tonight too - breastfeeding.  DH is arguing he doesn't need to go but....he's going!

QOTD:  I've started packing.  I plan on bringing a robe and slippers, nursing bras and pads, camera and charger, cell phone and charger, underwear, socks, clothes to come home, toiletries, birth plan, small present for DH, maybe a book as well as change of clothes, snacks and toilettries for DH.  I've also read DH should have a sweatshirt because we get so hot that the room is freezing.  I'm not bringing my own nightgowns as I don't want to ruin them.  I'll just wear theirs.  Also packed a diaper bag for baby with her clothes to wear home, some diapers, a nail file and a nursing poncho.  I don't think I'll bring the boppy or my own pillow but DH can always get them if I need them.

Trying not to look like I'll be away for a week but I keep thinking about other things I'll need.  We'll see.

  • Update:  I am doing much better.  Really starting to feel good.  I go in for my 16 week appt next week and the 2nd blood draw for my sequential screening.

QOTD:  I am taking the bare minimum too.  I overpacked last time and hardly used any of it.

I will be taking a robe, slippers, camera and charger, cell and charger, baby book, throw away pillows from home, clothes to come home in, nursing tank to wear under my hospital gown, pjs for DH, hairbrush, powder (to pretend I'm wearing makeup) and a going home outfit for the baby.
