Can you...

wear heels?  Walk in heels?

I used to be able to wear heels but in recent years have just been wearing flats, sandals and athletic shoes.  Now when I try to wear heels I can't.  Either I can't walk in them without wobbling, or I can't last more than a half hour walking in them.

I'm sad because heels are so pretty, but I just can't wear them Crying.

I still always wear heels, but I used to be able to wear the crazy biggest heels with no problem, and that's not the case these days.  Makes me feel old to say that, though.  Sad

  • I used to wear heels a lot.  But I think my feet have gotten wider over the years and 1.)  wide feet don't always look that great in heels and 2.) they kill my big wide feet!!!

  • I do at least 3 times a week but i have a 3 inch max.
  • Nope.  Can't do it.  Not even tiny little heels.  It kiiillls the balls of my feet and I'm shuffling around looking like an idiot after about an hour.

It sucks because it takes way too much effort to find good flats that go well with dresses... Which saddens me even more b/c my favorite pair of black flat sandals broke when I was coming back from lunch today.  It took me two months to find those stupid things last summer!

I used to wear them all the time - more often than flats.  I mostly stopped because I didn't like being taller than DH (he doesn't mind either way).   Sometimes I wish my work had a dress code so I'd wear them more - then I remember my commute!

  • I used to wear them all the time in college, but now I can't wear them to work or my feet kill me.  I'll wear them for a couple of hours (out to dinner) but longer than that (weddings, NYE) and I usually regret it.  If I wind up walking much in them, my feet are wrecked after.

I've started wearing wedges more often, though, and I can usually wear them all day at work no problem.

  • I wore them all.the.time. Especially in grad school. I was always in heels. I found out this weekend (while out with the girls for the b-party) that me and heels just don't mix anymore. I'm super sad about this. I'll still wear them out especially to church but pretty much stick to my flats for work.

I have such a hard time finding comfortable flats because of my wide feet.  They will be comfortable for a few hours but by the end of the day they hurt my feet.  What's a girl to do...wear flip flops all the time?

This!!  Wedges have become my best friend in the summers when I want to look a little more dressed up but can't handle being in heels all day long.  I limit the time I spend in tall heels.  I can handle them for awhile, and find I do better with the gel inserts.  My poort feet have never been that great with heels.

  • I wore heels every day for five years at my last job, walking properties in them, standing long into the night in them. I destroyed my feet. Now I have a neuroma under my fourth toe on each foot, making it pretty impossible for me to wear them if I'm walking or standing. I will wear wedges and occassionally a stacked heel (like on a boot) but I mainly stick to flats now. I don't miss them.

  • Only heels less than 3-4" and then they end up coming off anyway since I can't stand them, they hurt the balls of my feet and calves. I like wedges though but don't want anything taller than 2" since James is 5'8".
