Probably dumb ? re: Easter baskets

I know they usually contain chocolates and candies, but DD doesn't eat those stuff. I'd like to make her a basket but what should  I put in it?

  • My niece doesn't like chocolate either.  She does like gummy-type candy though.  My sister has put change inside plastic eggs, crasins, put a movie in there, candy necklaces, nerds, headbands, barrettes, coloring books.

That's all I can think of right now.

  • I got dd some books, shoes, sidewalk chalk, some coolkids ice packs, a golf set, and I think that's it. She doesn't eat candy either so I tried to get some things she "needed".

  • I plan on getting DD a movie, bubbles, babydoll clothes, and just a little bit of chocolate (though DD is a chocolate monster)
  • As for food type items, I'm only putting Cheerios and Baby Goldfish in their baskets.  I'm filling the plastic eggs with them.  I also got (from what I can remember) sunglasses, bubbles, light up bouncing balls, books, and small stuffed animals.

  • My guys aren't big candy/choc eaters either which is good I guess but I can't ever bribe them with that stuff..damnit!

I hit up Target last night and got a couple things from the little $2 toy bins (the ones in the actual toy section).  They had a good variety of random stuff.  I did playdoh, bouncy balls, pinwheels, Hotwheels cars, and they got a new game to share.  I did get them each a choc. bunny for good measure, which neither of them will eat but I know my DH will.

  • I bought plastic eggs and filled them with Goldfish (cheddar, honey graham and cinnamon) for DD's school's party today. Animal crackers would work, too.  Or you could use grapes, berries, etc.

  • We aren't putting any candy in DD basket this year.  She will be getting a doll, some sidewalk chalk, barrets, and maybe some of the cookies she likes to snack on!
  • Beckett is getting a dog shaped (he loves dogs) bubble blowing thing and extra bubbles, Moon dough, a pinwheel, a box of Annie's Cheddar Bunnies, and stickers. I am going to put a couple pieces of candy in it, which I will then take back and put away for special rewards (or bribes).
