Hello all!

I haven't been around quite so much lately due to all the craziness here! Here's the big update!!

1-Ellie's room: We ordered the furniture and (like Mel!) it came in early! We had a major scramble to finish emptying the room, and repair, prime and paint the walls, but we got it all done. There are pics on FB of the results!!

2-Baby shower! I flew home this past Thursday for a long weekend visit for a baby shower my family planned. It was AWESOME! I hadn't seen so many of my cousin's since we moved to Boston almost 3 years ago, it was just fabulous! 81 people attended (including some hubbies who sat in the parking lot drinking beer, LOL!) and we got so much fabulous stuff! Lots of clothes and blankies! I had a 47 pound suitcase full of baby stuff on my way back to Boston! I also got lots of gift cards, so that will be useful for buying the 'big' stuff. One of the biggest highlights for me was asking my brother and best friend to be Elena's Godparents. My brother was super excited of course and me and my BFF both cried (at the baby shower, pretty embarassing but I blame the hormones!). Not sure if this link will work, but if it does, here is some pics (please ignore the 'ugly' ones! I hate those pics with weird faces cause you're talking or something!!)

3-I just started a Mary Kay business! I've used their products in the past when a college friend was selling them. I decided that it is time to start using some anti-aging products....let's face it, I've been using Noxema since I was a teenager! I had so much fun at my one-on-one appts with my consultant that I decided that this may be a way to meet more people in the area and make new friends. It's really hard only having mostly 'work' friends and no family in the area, so I'm very excited to have a reason for 'girl time' with new friends and maybe make a little extra $$!

Next on the list is an upcoming vacation to Spain to visit my MIL and attend her Change of Command ceremony that will end her tour there. She'll be moving back to DC, so it will be nice to have her state-side again before Ellie arrives.

That's the big update! I'll probably be around sporadically until after our vacation but hopefully things will quiet down after that!!

Heather, I haven't forgotten about the scrapbooking stuff! I have it in a box but haven't made it to the post office yet. I promise to send it eventually!!

Yes, we did! Last time we were on-base most of the time. This trip we are spending 3 days sight-seeing in Madrid and then taking the train to meet her on base. We're very excited for a vacation!

  • Hi Kellie!

Have so much fun in Spain! My dad promised me a trip there as an incentive for losing weight when I lost 80lbs.. he hasn't made good on it yet!
