  • This is a favorite/ favourite thing.  I always though grey was a more European favored spelling.

  • I do both, but I think I use "gray" more, so that's how I voted.

Yeah, its definitely a regional spelling, so Google tells me. ;)  Even though Grey is more European, I prefer it... its weird.

  • Patrick had always thought it was spelled with an "e" because of the Crayola crayons and was surprised when I told him that it could also be spelled with an "a".  Of course he never looks closely at colors listed on products.

  • I like spelling it "grey." It looks prettier to me for some reason.
  • I spell it both ways, gray and grey. Depends on the day.

  • For some weird reason, I always think "grey" is for for the color but "gray" is for a surname. I don't like gray for the color. Seems wrong.
  • I had a funny feeling you were asking about this just by the title Smile For some reason, it's the most debated spelling of a word that I have ever seen.

I guess it really is a regional thing. I also use "grey."

  • I spell it "grey."

Oddly, I can't stand seeing "color" spelled "colour" though, or "favorite" spelled "favourite."  (I know those are the preferred Canadian and British spellings, they just bug me anyway.)

  • I drink a lot of Earl Grey tea, so I think that's why I use "grey", I just see it all the time on my tea tins.

You are hardcore, Wamo.  To me, drinking Earl Grey is like drinking scotch.  They are both strong and kind of oily-tasting.  I can't handle either one.
