Rent the Runway

I think I saw the link for it here a while ago and I was playing around on it this morning. I found two possible dresses for the wedding we're going to in Sonoma in May. I'm debating though if I want to pay $100 for a rental or spend that money on a dress that I will get to keep.

 What do you think?

A bumpie was recently raving about it, on the local bump board, and on the FB board (it would probably be easier to find her rave in the FB group now though).  I think it sounds like a really cool idea if you're going to something black tie or once in a lifetime, but for a dress for an outdoor May wedding, I think I'd want to find a dress I liked and could/would wear again (to another wedding, maybe to future bridal/baby shower's for friends, etc).

How do you know it will fit you exactly? That'd be my concern, since nothing to seems to fit me right.

You can order two sizes of the same dress so one should fit.

Stef, I think you're right. I don't think our occasion warrants renting something but if I ever go to another black tie event, I'll probably go for it. They have some gorgeous dresses.

Ok, I'm going shopping this weekend.

Yep, no extra charge for them to send two of the same dress in two different sizes.  Very cool!

for a black tie event or a SUPER fancy cocktail event, i can see spending the money.  for a wedding .. not sure about it .. i'd rather the spend the $100 on a dress that i can change up for a variety of occassions.

i invested 10 years ago in a lbd that has seen me through hs reunions, weddings, and fancy work events. accessories are your friends
