New to The Nest

I've been lurking in and out for the last year or so, but now that I'm buying a home and "moving up in the world" as my mother would say.  I figured it was time to stop lurking. So HI!

I'm Emily, I was born and raised and came back home to Bealeton, VA (Fauquier County) went to school in Northern Ohio with the plans of training horses, and after an unfortunate accident changed my plans.  My dreams would be to be a professor at a college teaching Animal/Equine Nutrition.  Right now I work for a small RFiD (radio frequency ID) company as an Operations Manager.  I love it, not where I pictured myself, but its great.

I have been dating the love of my life for 6 years now, just waiting on that ring *toe tapping begins*.  All my close friends are popping out babies, and unfortunately I'm starting to get the fever.

I have my little furbaby to help with my baby urges, a little black stray that we picked up in a parking lot at 5 weeks old.  She is the devil in cat form and loves to torture humans, so she was named accordingly.  Wednesday is now 1 year old :)

I'm hoping to get a great dane once our house is done ( found a great rescue) and we have some more room for a dog.

Look forward to talking to y'all!
