5 year old princess party...can boys be invited?

I know I know....a dumb question but my daughter keeps saying how she wants all her little school friends at her party (there are only 10 of them and 5 are boys)....should they get an invite? And mind you...SHE is the one that wants this princess theme and it's her first real birthday party.Tongue Tied

  • Of course!
Just throw some knight stuff in there like cardboard swords and goblets and they will love it. This party has some great ideas.
  • absolutely.  Either do knight stuff like pp said or you could do a prince/princess theme so everyone is included.

  • Of course!  But make sure the boys feel included.  I was the only or one of few girls at several Nintendo-Ninja Turtles-Superhero birthday parties and I felt left out and lame.  I like the knight/prince add-on.  Slay the dragon and all that.

  • my niece had a princess and pirate party.  It was adorable.  The boys loved the swords and pirate hats.

    Totally agree.

I made boys come to my My Little Pony birthday when I turned 5. I think my mom got them Hot Wheels stuff.

  • I vote the boys get capes. And I think all the kids should get a chance to slay the dragon:)
  • I'm doing a combined princess and superhero party for my daughter and my friend's son.  We're inviting everyone to wear their costumes.  My daughter will dress up as a princess superhero - tiara and cape!

  • I think it would be fine to have the boys there, especially if that is what your daughter requested. As other posters said, having a prince and princess party would be great.
