HELP! I may have killed my rose bushes...

So I live in zone 6 I believe (Nebraska).  I transplanted 3 of my rose bushes about a week ago because the location they were in did not get enough sun light.  It was more shade.  Out of the 3 bushes only 1 seems to be doing very well and sprouting new leaves.  The other 2 have barely any leaves sprouting and what leaves are there, most seem to be wilting.  Is there anything I can do to save them or is this a lost cause?  Please help!  Any ideas are welcome as I am new to gardening.  TIA!!

  • It's only been a week. They may still be in shock.

    Don't drink the water.

  • Are they all the same variety? Or could the other two be performing differently because they aren't due yet to leaf out?

Are they getting enough water (do they have any roots left with which to absorb water)?

  • They are all the same type of rose bush (knock-out).  I made sure to very gently dig them up to try to get as much of the root ball as possible.  Is there anything that I could do to help them at all?  It has been rainy about every other day or so but not overly rainy that they'd be getting too much water.

  • You should get a product like Root Master (B1). It helps transplants through shock.  You mix it with water and water it into the roots.

When you dig (transplant), you lose roots. They get cut. So, the plant loses some of it's ability to take up water. Depending on how much root mass was lost, and how much water the remaining roots have access to, the plant could die fast.

Give it plenty of water at the root ball. More than normal.
