John & Nick's

So I am trying to decide where to have my birthday dinner and am thinking about somewhere new (to us).  I am wanting Prime Rib.  Someone mentioned John & Nick's and other than it being a little far away, I need some feedback.  I am REALLY picky when it comes to Prime Rib and I don't want to waste a dinner if it's not very good.  The other bonus is that they have a salad bar...which I like too.

If John and Nick's doesn't work the others on the list are 801 and Flemmings.

We absolutely love John and Nick's.  I'm really not a prime rib person, but theirs seriously melts in your mouth its so good.  We've also had their steaks, chicken, and most recently stuffed pork chops and all have been excellent.  The salad bar has an awesome selection as well.  The bar seating is a much more relaxed atmosphere, while the dining room is a little more reserved.  Either side gives you the same food and the options of tables or booths.

John & Nick's is local so that is a plus!  It is hard for me to not recommend Fleming's over anywhere else though b/c the food is so amazing.  The bread, the jalapeno Fleming's potatoes, the salad...yummy!

I have never had the prime rib at John and Nick's but I have had steak de burgo and it was delicious.  We really enjoyed our meal there.

We were not overly impressed with John and Nick's. Personally, I would prefer Gino's or Noah's. I can't speak for Fleming's as I have never been there.
