It's kinda quiet around here...
How'd you all fare in The Weather yesterday?
Re: Did everyone float away?
I'm here!
I like how the rain is turning everything green.
That's great! I did the half and didn't think it was as awful as those who did the full--just train on those paths b/c the whole thing is hilly. It was still my 2nd best half time.
GL in training!

It's pretty cool to look out my upstairs window and see the buds on our tulip tree a bit more open every day
I'd MUCH rather get a bunch of rain than snow!

Yes, it was quite boring around these parts yesterday compared to my friends on FB. Sounds like MI had some pretty crazy weather is some parts.
ditto x's one million.
GL w/the half DP! I'm sure you'll rock it. How has Riverbank training been treating you?
We didn't have much around my parts - some rain and wind and that's about it.
I posted some pics of the hail in my blog; DH also took video on his phone but that's not posted.

Not a kid, but one of my cats is now afraid of thunder storms. She has just developed this fear in the past year or two for some reason. There's a particular chair in the basement that she now hides under when it's storming.
Aww! That's cute
Our dog has never minded storms, and thankfully DS's worst problem is that he doesn't like hearing the raindrops on the metal awning that's outside his window. So we turn on a small fan in his room when he goes to bed. He was out running with us (under a rain cover) when it started, and was a little apprehensive about the thunder, but I made it seem all fun and happy, and he was ok.

Woo hoo! I still have "Holy crap we just ran X miles" moments too - it's crazy how long runs can skew your perspective too.
Awww, poor kitty! I think thunderstorms might be the only thing our timid kitty *isn't* afraid of. Both of our dogs don't even acknowledge thunderstorms - which is weird because Toby will bark if I set my glass on the counter too loudly, but huge crashing thunder? Doesn't even lift his head.
After attempting numerous times over the past 7 yrs to donate blood, I was successful for the first time today. I'm not a reject any longer!
*****
I am done whoring out the blood drive now.
Congratulations!
Congrats! I've only been successful twice. The last three times they got me hooked up (with much difficulty) but my blood wouldn't flow into the bag fast enough. But I still got to eat free cookies, so it was worth trying.
That's awesome! I know it means a lot to you: good job!
lol...they dind't have cookies here
I did get Cheez-its and an orange juice though.
My blood was flowing really slow at first, but then it started moving. I guess I was supposed to drink more water before I gave. I only had 1 bottle of water this morning.
Ugh, great timing.
Hope it stops quickly and the house showing goes well tonight!
Des&Molly, congrats on successfully donating!
Has anyone here ever heard of Prezi? It's like PowerPoint on steroids. I saw a presentation in Prezi last night and I was super impressed. I'm wondering if anyone here has ever used it.
Ditto. Good luck!
YAY!!! Who did you donate with?
Prezi? New to me. Will have to look into it.
Red Cross? My company? A nice woman named Barb? I guess I don't understand your question.
My company puts on a blood drive once every 3 months. We bring the Red Cross in to do it.
