How was everyone's Easter?
Ours was fabulous. N was so flipping cute Easter morning. She was so excited about all the stuff in her basket. She kept walking around with Reese's eggs in her hand. And we got her a little pink chair that she just wanted to sit in like a big girl.
All the IL's came (including GMIL's new boyfriend) and they played in N's blowup pool, ate watermelon, drew with sidewalk chalk and we had an egg hunt. Very, very fun day.
Oh and everyone loved the food that MH grilled.
Re: How was everyone's Easter?
*gasp!* despite it being grilled on gas???
Ours was really fun, but non-traditional. We grilled burgers, hot dogs and homemade boudin and drank margaritas. None of our family could make it but a few families we're close to had nowhere to go so we all had Easter together. It was fun for E, there were three 2 years olds, a three year old and two one year olds. They had an egg hunt, played in the bouncy house, played in the bubbles from the bubble machine and swam in Elise's plastic pool. By the end of the day, I was VERY glad for the margaritas!
It was OK. Ended up having lunch with the ILs at Ralph & Kacoo's, and ILs weren't exactly super happy since they've been super busy.
I'm so used to doing a family gathering, but my side insisted on going to a $$$$ brunch in NOLA (I'm too cheap) and BIL/SIL ended up having Easter with SIL's side, so it was sort of a last minute thing. Oh well..
