Summer in Saint Louis

As we all know Saint Louis has a lot to offer in the summer months... the word free gets thrown around a lot! So... what is everyone looking forward to most this summer?

I can't wait for the warm/hot weather, my husband and I like to go to the zoo bright and early Saturday and get a good walk in, plus its when the animals are most active. I also love the summer series of concerts at the Arch.

Re: Summer in Saint Louis

  • I love going to the Muny. We always used to go when I was younger, and my husband and I even bought season tickets for a few years. It's such a unique venue, and I love that they still have free seats!

  • I'm not a fan of the heat, I wouldn't be heartbroken if we had to move to AK.  I can't wait for the rain to go away so I can take the kids to the zoo.
  • I love walking around the Arch grounds, especially on days when they have the kabob stand up. I can sit on the riverboat dock all day long. Oh and Live on the Levee! I hope the waters go down so they can have the concerts this year.. Maroon 5 is playing the day after my wedding.

  • I love the Zoo for early morning walks... all of Forest Park for that matter!  But another great spot is MO Botanical Gardens on Wednesday/Saturday mornings.  It's free for City/County residents those mornings and offers great walking and exploring opportunities.  They also hold free summer concerts Wednesday nights when you can picnic in the Gardens.
  • OH and Shakespeare in the Park!  Love it :)
