lettuce entertain you restaurants?

Are these restaurants good?  (Mon Ami Gabi or Wildfire?)  It looks like they all have gluten free menus, so I was curious.  Are they just like regular chain restaurants or are they better?

Re: lettuce entertain you restaurants?

  • MUCH better than regular chain restaurants. Lettuce Entertain You consistently produces great food and usually a pretty high end atmopshere. Ben Pao, for instance, is a little higher end than a PF Chang's. Their food, however, is 10 times better than PF Chang's and the service is phenomenal.

Mn Ami Gabi was one of the best meals I've had in Chicago so far. Osteria Via Stato, as well, a top notch restaurant. For me, when I see Lettuce Entertain You, I know I'm going to get great food, great service, and a great experience overall. Definitely a high middle end restaurant.

  • Love love Cafe Ba Ba Reeba (actually we're going this weekend!)

Ben Pao I've had once and it was pretty good. Big Bowl is good also.

A lot of people like Maggiano's, I think it's just okay compared to other non-chain Italian restaurants.

  • They're all very non-offensive, but none are jaw-dropping great. While I like Cafe Ba Ba Reeba, I find it expensive and not as good as other tapas restaurants.

I just find Maggiano's and Wild Fire to be "meh". Big Bowl is good, but pricey for what it is.

There was a French restaurant affiliated with them that was awesome - but they're closed. Really unfortunate.

  • They're good. We signed up for their frequent diner club so we get a $15 gift card on our birthdays. We usually go to Cafe Ba Ba Reeba, Maggiano's, or Wildfire. Whenever I'm at Water Tower, I always stop at Wow Bao for a 6 pack of BBQ pork Bao's.

I forget Wow Bao's included.  They're so yummy!

  •  Paris Club and Hub 51 are fun for the atmosphere.

I personally do like Cafe Babareeba and it's one of the few tapas places I like in the city. (The others try too hard to be trendy).

I love the ceviche at Nacional 27 as well as their drinks!
