I just saw your response to the highs/lows post about your H and how busy he is. I just wanted to say I can completely sympathize. My H is in med school... I hate to tell you this, but it only gets worse! This is one of the reasons I trained for and ran the Chicago Marathon last summer. I figured I may as well since he is too busy to spend time with me!
Maybe once you are completely recovered from your injury its time to consider a marathon?! ;-)

I can imagine that our "busyness" is just beginning. Thankfully I work in nursing and have mad respect for what doctors have to go through and their lives. I am so proud of my DH for kicking butt and pursuing his dream, but that doesn't mean I'm happy about it every single day. It's very hard to go 3 weeks at a time without seeing him for more than a moment.
Thank GOD I have my running!
The half is definitely enough for me right now, but don't count me out for a full marathon someday. I'm hoping by the end of 2012 or sometime in '13 I'll be ready!
Gotta get my body back first! DANG injury.
Where is your hubby in med school? The U? What type of medicine does he want to into? What year is he?

He is at the U, 2nd year transitioning into 3rd right now. He is still undecided on specialty at this point.
You are doing the Urban Wildland Half right? Its at the top of my list. I haven't registered yet though.

YEP! That's my "intention" at this time. I discussed with the doc on Tuesday, though, that if I have one more injury come up, I'm going to have to downgrade to the 5K and wait for the Monster Dash to be my first 1/2.
BUT...I'm really hoping UW is my first!
