Q of the Day: Pets (ETA PIP directions)
Do you have 'em? Bonus points for pictures!
To PIP:
If the photo is online, right click and select copy.
In your post on thenest right click and select paste.
With this method, in IE you can resize (i think); in chrome you can't.
Again, if the photo is online: (IE, only) right click, select properties and highlight address (be sure to get the whole thing).
Go to your post, click the picture of the tree and paste the URL into the corresponding line. Resize as desired in this popup, or by clicking and dragging the corners of the image in the text-entry box.
There are also other ways, but this should work.

Best sound ever: baby's heartbeat! (Heard @ 10w1d)
Re: Q of the Day: Pets (ETA PIP directions)
Kaya, a 6 yo GSD/Alaskan husky mix who we've had since 2008:

And Rory (also a rescue; same age, but we've had her since she was a kitten):

Abby, 6 year old mix of some sort. We got her from the shelter in May of 2005 when she was about 6 months old. She is the sweetest dog. We have so many silly names we call her and she will respond to them all....noodle, strudel, scrapper, fats, fatters, abs, abby-roo!
I would post a PIP, but i dont know how.
I can't PIP at work, but we have 1 cat and 2 dogs, plus fish inside and out.
My cat is 15 years old and hates people- I love her
Her name is Lucky.
My dogs are both rescues- William, a 9 year old pug, and Ellie, a 4 year old 1/2 pug 1/2 terrier.

My dog is in my sig pic. To try to make a long story short, she was my ex's dog. She spent most of her time with me and the couple times she was left alone with his parents, they took her to a shelter. I forced him to get her both times and I ended up keeping her the second time to find a home for her. I had no intention of keeping her forever - we already had 2 cats, she drove me nuts with her energy and my dad was adamant that he wouldn't have another pet in his house (he took the death of our last dog extremely hard). Here we are 13 years later and she's my little shadow and I adore her.
Tired after a long morning of hiking and swimming.
We have a Shetland Sheepdog and a orange marmalade cat. I love them both to pieces, they're my boys.
This is miss pismo, cuz of her flag tail, she is the latest rescue added to the family
This is hairball, guess you'll never guess why that is his name
This is scrappy do (dark brown) and Mayter
Finally the head honcho of the family spaz, shown here w/my niece.
We have tons of animals, but they are all rescues and we have a huge yard for them to play in, age range from 8 years (scrappy) to 8 weeks (pismo)
We have four animals that we have adopted over the last two years, and a foster dog. Everest (4yo female tabby) was our first pet together, Bueller (2yo boxer mix) we adopted right after we bought our house last year, Elliot and Ferris are 8 month old littermates from a litter we fostered in September, and Elsie is a 3-4 year old female pit bull mix.

Sorry if I totally messed this PIP thing up. I tried like 10 times to get it right! This is my Rory hanging out near my BFF's garden. I think she's part husky, part collie of some sort and part shepherd of some sort.
Hello! I'm a lurker and I decided I just had to show off my babies :-)
Midnight and Asher (I'm sure you can guess which is which!)
Midnight is 8 months old and Asher is about 6 1/2 months old. Midnight has grown SO much since we adopted them the day after Christmas - he's around 10 pounds already!

Thanks! He is not fat at all, but weights nearly 20lbs! He is just a big tom cat! Also, he thinks he is a dog, so people really get confused, he plays fetch and meows at the door to go out and play with the dogs
We don't have any actual in-home pets, but we have two friendly squirrels who visit us daily for strawberries, grapes, peanuts and any other yummy treats we're willing to part with. Their names are Barf and Ninja.
This is barf (molting a bit):
