I didn't think I cared much, but low and behold, I was up at 5am watching and continued until I had to leave for work at 7:30am. What does everything think of her dress? At first I was surprised because it's nothing 'over the top' but the more I watched, the more I loved it. I also love that she wore her hair down and had natural makeup on...so pretty.

Re: Royal Wedding
Haha. I was up at 5am too, watching as I was getting ready for work. I even had a tear in my eye seeing her get out of the car for the first time. She looked stunning. I love the dress, very simple, but very elegant.
I was up at 5:00am crying the entire time. I'm a huge monarchy nut!
I LOVE the dress.
The kiss, however, could have been a bit more exciting

TTC Since January 2011 - We have bad spermI've been annoyed by the coverage leading up to it. I didn't watch it, but I'll admit one of the first things I did when I got on the computer is look at CNN to see pics.
I love her dress!!! I'm assuming she needed her shoulders covered and think this dress is simply, yet modern yet classic. Gorgeous!

I was up early with the dog, so I flipped it on just as William and Harry got to the church, and watched right up until I left for work. I loved, loved, LOVED her dress -it's gorgeous and elegant, and so timeless. I loved Pippa's dress as well - if I was still planning, I'd be looking for something like that to wear.
I think they're just adorable together. I loved how relaxed and happy they were when they got to the carriage. I missed them out on the balcony, though, because I had to go to work. Boo!
And I totally want to rock an awesome hat the next time I go to a wedding. I have a friend who always gets a new hat to wear for a wedding, and she always looks so put together. I think we Americans need to latch on to the hat thing.
I wasn't planning on watching but came down with L this morning and turned it right as they were coming out onto the balcony and wouldn't you know it my kid started waving back..lol I guess her love affair with all things royal is starting.
It really was beautiful, I got all teary eyed when I was watching the clips of their vows.
Oh and I read somewhere that she did her own make-up. I don't think I could have been relaxed enough to even attempt it.
Ok, I am going to disagree with everyone. I thought her dress was very pretty and simple, but I was a little disappointed honestly. I think it's a nice dress, but not for a princess - or at least in my mind.
I just thought that if I were becoming a princess I would have something a lot more extravagant! Something a little on over the top. Anyone agree with me?
I am not that interested in this topic, however, I thought it was funny that I think of a princess dress as something with a corset top and big puffy skirt with tons of tulle layers.. obvs thats absolutely not what she wore, nor Diana.
I love her whole look, and the whole bits and pieces I've seen on the wedding.
I thought it was a modern take on Grace Kelly's dress - classic and elegant. I would have been surprised if she'd gone over the top. Though I think I heard she has one or two more dresses for the event, so maybe one of those will be more extravagent.
And here's Grace Kelly, by comparison.
I heard on the news this morning that Kate was heard saying she wanted to be a bride similiar to Grace Kelly. She even had the smaller bouquet like Grace Kelly did.
Well, I woke up @ 4 b/c I thought my man Clinton Kelly was on at 4. But no, he came on at 5. I watched the whole thing up until just after the kiss.
Pippa looked great. Little BMs were cute. Fergie's daughters looked terrible & Chelsy ___ (Harry's GF) looked nice except for her messy HAIR! Posh & Becks were OK.
I LOVED KATE'S look!!! Wow, classy & elegant for sure. I think it just speaks about how her & William are different people than the pompous Royals.
Also, a little brag. A photographer friend of mine is over there & got some AWESOME pics of them driving away from Westminster. I can't believe she got so close, lucky girl!
As far as the kiss, Clinton made sure to point out that she pulled away first. I think she just got embarrassed. I probably would have, too.
Dress #2!
I like it a lot. It's simple, but still gorgeous. Of course, it helps that the bride looks like her, heh.
Fixed it for you. Chelsea Davey better look out, because Pippa's looking to get her a piece of the spare, hee!
Omg I had to get up and watch it--and I cried the whole time! I also have always believed that Princess Grace was the most beautiful bride that ever was, and tried to incorporate a bit of her bridal style in my own wedding day attire. I was absolutely thrilled to see a modern version Grace Kelly's dress grace the shoulders of Kate on her wedding day! Over-the-moon would be an understatement. I believe I may have been squealing--you'll have to ask my mum haha!
FYI Kate didn't become a princess--she became a duchess and a countess.
