Is it just me or did Nick Fairley look less than thrilled to be drafted by the Lions? He was glued to his phone pretty much the entire time. But I suppose who WOULD want to be drafted by the Lions right?
Re: NFL Draft
I asked DH the same question, and his reply was they are happy to be drafted even if it's by a crappy team. He insisted that Fairley was just keeping a serious face, and probably concentrating on the phone call/details.
I see both sides, I guess.

I think players are just excited to be picked up in the first round that they could care less where they go. If you're a first round pick being drafted by a crappy team, there's a better chance of becoming a starter than if you're picked up by a team who is already established. Figure the #1 draft pick goes to the team with the worst record- you don't often hear players complaining about being the #1 pick. Not to mention, teams always trade players, so there's always a chance of being picked up by a better team.
This, I agree.
