Ok so let's discuss! What were your thoughts? Favorite parts??
- the whole thing was magnificent!!!!! her gown, the carriages, the horses, the impeccable fashion, the cars (so clean haha!), the crowds...every minute was so exciting! there was so much to look at
- I love how Harry turned back to see Kate walking up the aisle, poor Will had to wait a little more...
- I love when they got into the carriage after the ceremony and they looked so relaxed and happy...I'm pretty sure she said to him "Are you happy?" or "I'm so happy?" when they first got in. So cute!!!!
- Oh and I LOVE the hats/fascinators...everyone looked so polished and sophisticated!
I got up at 5:30 am to watch it live, and I'm glad I did!!! I'll sleep tomorrow ![]()
Re: Royal Wedding discussion
It was so great!!
Her gown was beautiful, it was really perfect. Everything felt so royal but yet so casual at the same time? I know that doesn't make sense. She just looked so effortless, I loved it.
Prince Harry - Smoking hot.
They are just really cute together, they look genuinely happy.
We had a fascinator breakfast here at work this morning. We used plates and craft supplies to make hats and watch the coverage. Here is the result:
I *LOVED* her dress. I thought it was so elegant and classy and the veil and small crown were perfect!
Prince William looked very handsome (it's a shame he's going bald though!!) and Prince Harry was quite the looker!
The vows were sweet and you could tell they really love each other.
The kiss was cute, but too quick
I was just FASCINATED by some of the hats. I totally wish I could have demanded people to wear hats to my wedding. HAH
I'm confused though, was Pippa's (Kate's sister) dress white? I thought only the bride was suppose to wear white...

I have not watched it yet, but hopefully I can tonight.
Oh yeah, my BIL looks just like Prince Harry. It's almost scary how much they look alike.
My thoughts exactly! Is it different in England?
I haven't watched the whole thing but from what I did watch I loved every moment!
~Her dress was so beautiful. I wasn't a fan of the bottom though. DH didn't like it at all.
~I thought their kiss on the balcony was cute. It seemed like they were sort of shy with the first one but got more into it with the second one!

I thought it was more ivory... she looked so elegant. I actually wore ivory once for my cousin's wedding years ago (in the days before digital cameras so I can't PIP) and it was very pretty! Maybe that will become a trend?
ETA: From the footage I've seen of previous royal weddings, it seems that the bridesmaids (most of them are little girls) wear white or ivory...so maybe that's tradition?
I just finished watching it because I snoozed on the alarm this morning haha. I loved her dress! I am a huge fan of lace so there is no surprise there. It was a beautiful ceremony and I was wondering about her sister's dress also.
Regarding the hats, I only liked more of the traditional ones and the fascinators. There was one that looked like a blue boat and the one with the pink ribbon was just weird.
I've always wanted to visit London and now I'm itching to go even more.

The bridesmaids at Diana's wedding wore white also, so I assume that's either a British or royal tradition.
I woke up at 6:30, so I caught the end of the ceremony. I think Kate looked great, so elegant but not over the top. Very classy. I'm looking forward to watching the rest of it on the DVR tonight.
I am guessing we witnessed the start of the decline of the strapless ballgown for wedding dresses today.
i also did not get up to watch it however i've been all over the internet all morning long! lol
her dress was nice... assuming they have rules on what you can and cannot wear - i guess i expected something not as grand - tho i guess that's is not intelligent considering it is a freaking ROYAL wedding lol
the hats were fun but God some of them looked terrible (Beatrice or Cindy Loo Hoo?)
Also - Chelsy (Harry's gf) i thought looked horrible! i don't know what look she was going for but her skirt looked faded next to the same color on top!
lol - sorry to sound so negative but what was up with her flowers? again prob some type of tradition but i was no impressed - a bunch of white callas would have looked a million times better.
ok lol - i did like Pippa's dress though - she looked very elegant!
can't wait to hear what you ladies thought!

I'm glad she didn't have a 25ft train like Diana did!!! I thought it was a great length, not too long but long enough for a royal wedding

I've been eating up every second of the wedding coverage! I was up around 6 to watch it. I missed the big kiss cause I was at work
But I'm sure I'll see it on TV tonight! I LOVED her dress, I thought she looked stunning and classic. I was a little disappointed in her bouquet....looked kinda small and sparse....I expected more!
I think it was a beautiful wedding and I can't wait to see what they wear to the parties this evening!

I loved her dress. I thought it was perfect and so like Grace Kelly's only more modern with the updated neckline. That lace was lovely and took hundreds and hundreds of hours to do by hand so the craftsmanship was awesome.
As for the bridesmaids, the little girls are traditional and the other tradition is that the dresses for all the bridesmaids (MOH) is that theirs are made from the same fabric as the bride and embellished slightly differently with various sashes and other laces and whatnot.
I agree her flowers could have been a bit bigger but each thing in there symbolized something different she even had "sweet williams" in there which I thought was so very cute.
I thought her mom looked really lovely and that Prince Andrew and Fergie's girls just looked a mess. They were basically pulling focus with those outfits. Simple and understated is the way to go!
Favorite moments
When Harry turned and saw her and said to William "wait till you see her" when she got to the alter and William said "you look beautiful" and then to her dad said something about a small family affair.
I really loved the whole thing from start to finish I can't want to see how this moves as far as trending in the bridal industry!

I couldn't wear THOSE particular heels but it made me want to go shoe shopping
There were definitely some questionable fashion decisions:
There is already a facebook group about how much people hate her hat.

OMG, watching the DVR now. Kate just got out of the car. Definitely were some tears on my end. She looks so amazing.
I had to LOL at the hats the Duke of York's women were wearing. What about that pink one that looked like a bow? I thought the girl looked like a giant reindeer.
Kate's mom looked fabulous - such a classy woman. And the Queen is looking great as well!!! Charles is looking old but he looked really good as well. William and Harry - such handsome boys! Love their costumes.
Yep. That was the hat I was just talking about. She looks like a jackass.
That hat should have been placed directly in front of her ugly face.
The guy behind her looks like he's about to say "you have GOT to be kidding me!!" with a fancy accent of course
Hahahaha I was thinking the same thing. He looks quite embarrassed to be walking in wiht her, although I think she's his daughter or granddaughter or something. LOL She is ugly.....so is her hat.
