I have decided to go ahead and buy myself a Kindle but don't know if I should go with the one that is free 3G+Wi-fi or if I should just get the Wi-fi one. Right now they have a Mothers Day deal that if you order the 3G+Wi-fi you get a $25 gift card to amazon so I thought I should go for that one since it makes the difference in money only 25 dollars. What do you girls think? Is it necessary to have the free 3G? Or more convenient? I would like to order one this weekend if I could. I have graduation money to use still and thought it would be a nice gift to myself. TIA!!!!

Re: Kindle... help please!!
I have the wireless one and really have never needed 3g, I don't really travel anywhere and if I went to my parents the 3G wouldn't come in anyways. I just make sure I have enough loaded on there to read.
If you're not traveling a lot I would have the money and just get the wireless one.
You will love it, I don't go anywhere without mine.

Semi-related question - Does anyone have the amazon lighted cover? Do you like it?
I have this one (you need to get the light seperately) and LOVE it

No need for 3G! I've never needed it... even at the gym once I finished my book and wasn't interested in anything on my kindle, but was able to use the gym's wifi! I originally wanted to get the 3G just so I could get a white kindle, but I like the charcoal color so much better. It's easier on your eyes.
I have the lighted cover and I seriously LOVE it. I had the original leather case w/o the light, but it was causing electrical shortages (which is why it is no longer for sale on the amazon site). I was given a refund plus a $25 credit to upgrade to the lighted cover and I am so happy I did. I dragged my feet for weeks before I ordered it because I did not want to spend $60 on a case when the kindle was only $140, but I am seriously in love. When I read at night DH watches tv and I read with my lighted cover until my eyes are so tired I can't stay awake anymore. It is so nice to be able to do that. I can't say enough about it.

I have the lighted cover as well and I love it! It lights the entire reading area and gives the kindle some weight so it feels more like a real book. It also doesn't bother JT when I read in bed and he's either watching TV or on his iPad. I also didn't want to spend 60 dollars on a case but it's definitely worth the investment.
The battery life is still really good with the light (it runs off the kindle), I also really wanted a light that ran off the kindle so I didn't have to waste batteries.
I also really can't say enough about how much I love it. My dad just got one as well and my mom had gotten him one for Christmas but he decided he didn't think he would use it so he returned it and got something else but after hearing how much I raved about the kindle and sparked my love for reading again, he decided he wanted one and now he's in love. My mom wants one now too, my brother and I are getting one for her for her birthday/mother's day.
