trip to the drs for the earring

the ear is much better but I tried to put it back in today after being out since Tuesday night.  I cant get it back in and it started to bleed.  They want to see her to see the condition of the ear and either give an ointment or other treatment.

I feel so bad for her and kicking myself for letting her get her ears pierced...but then again this is the first problem we have had in the 15 months it has been done.

Re: trip to the drs for the earring

  • Oh good!  I mean, sucks that it's happening, but it sounds like you're doing the right thing.
  • glad you are getting it checked out, hopefully you can get right meds to clear it up.  :(  I always wonder when to get DD's ears pierced. she asks all the time
  • sure enough it is an infection...needs warm compress and oral antibiotics and an ointment for 10 days.  Said the hole may close up but may not since they have never been out the whole time she has had them pierced (15 months)

I'm so glad I called just to be sure.
