Drip pans for widow box

I saw a nice cedar planter box at home depot that I would like to put in my bath window.

There two holes in the bottom, but any suggestions on what to use to catch the water. I can seem to find a drip pan wide and long as the box.

I've never seen a drip pan on a window box. I think it would look odd. Plus, it's not good idea. You don't want soggy soil, because the plants would die and the wood would rot, and mosquitoes would breed in the water.
