Routine G2G?

Since I'm not able to participate as much during the day as I'd like to, I was catching up tonight. The common theme (yes, I am an English teacher) I saw was wanting to be able to get together more.

Why don't we plan a G2G that happens the same day of every month? Like every 2nd Friday of the month we have a G2G and the only thing that changes is the location? That way we all know that this event will always be happening and some of the ladies that live in different parts of the area could make it to one that was near her.

What is everyone's thoughts on this?

This sounds good to me - the only problem I can think of is picking a night that works for everyone.  It might need to rotate sometimes?  Just a thought.  Also, I'm that lame person who never knows until the last minute because things come up.  I'm lame like that.

I'm fine with that.  I don't think I would like to go back to Taco Diner very much though because they didn't really seem to enjoy us being there that much.  I think we should try to have the next one a little towards Addison so that Sarah can come.

Since, we've got some interest and I've heard that weekdays are not good days do we want to do Fridays or Saturdays?

Julie, I definitely think we need to rotate the location to different parts of DFW too! What areas do you think we should do?

I like Fridays too.  We may have to move it to a little later start time though.  6:30 and those who can and want to meet earlier can get started early.  Since I'm done with school by 4:30, I can usually be anywhere within an hour. 

Also, if some want to meet more often, we can consider that too.  Movie G2G.  Fun runs/walks.  What have you.

I can do some Saturdays but those are typically date nights and we're going to try to start going to church on Saturday evenings (so that we can sleep in on Sundays).  However, we plan a lot of things that don't actually ever get done.

Fridays are usually pretty good for me, and I like the idea of starting at 6.30. So when are we going to start?! This coming weekend is Mothers' Day...

I love the idea!  Friday nights are great for me.  DH plays hockey every Friday, so it would be something to look forward to once a month instead of the hockey rink.  I only missed the last one because we were at a wedding.

I talked to DH about the G2G this weekend and told him I'd like to start going to them as often as possible and he said that he could be more supportive.  Fridays would work best for me!

Most Catholic Churches have Saturday evening masses.  We go to Christ the King in Highland Park when we can make it.
