Who is up and watching the NEWS!!!

President Obama Announces Osama Bin Laden is Dead. As I am watching the news and hearing these words, I do have some fear. What about his followers? I am in deep praying mode. God please protect our nation and our fellow neighbors all over the world.

Re: Who is up and watching the NEWS!!!

  • I'm ALL about justice .... but I'm afraid of what might happen next.
  • I went to bed just before it!   I am very happy to finally see justice, but like Barb a little worried.  My dad has been deployed many times to the middle east so I am so happy and proud of him and the others as well.

  • I think that symbolically, this was good for the nation's healing process. It will certainly give some sort of closure to all of those who lost loved ones during the attack. But unfortunately, I am quite certain that there will be some sort of retaliation. It is the nature of the beast that we're dealing with. I agree that we all should be prayerful these days - especially for our troops over in that part of the world...

  • We watched a movie last night and when we turned it off were surprised to see the Breaking News.  While I am glad that chapter is finally over, I, too, am worried about what sort of retaliation is in store.  I will be praying for the safety of everyone around the world!

  • I too, am having a cautious celebration.  Not everyone in the world is as happy about this as we are.  But nevertheless, I hope he rots in hellll!!!!

    yep.

  • No matter what there is always going to be the threat of terrorism and an attack. So the term "retaliation" doesn't hold much for me. I think we as American's and citizens of the world need to be vigilant no matter what. And I'm pretty confident that our government (even though they are certainly not perfect) are well aware of the potential of retaliation from Bin Laden's supporters. I think this is an important step in bringing our troops home and will show the world that America means business.
  • Yeah it is definitely something to watch.

I was watching last night when the President spoke, I thought he did a great job. I am definitely fearful of the fallout over this but I am glad that he is gone. I am so thankful that no US Soldiers were killed in the takedown.
