I haven't done these in awhile.
A student informed me "messicans have chihuahua's, black people have ROCKweiler's and white people have LAPrador's".
I have no idea where that came from but it was just funny how he said it.
Also, last week before one of our test's a student asked me to pray. After explaining why I couldn't, he prayed on his own. Then the next day for test #2, he says, "Can I have a moment with the big cheese?" LOL. I can't say I've ever heard God referred to as that but whatever.
Random side note - my students have been really into discussing relgion lately. I hate that I have to tell them they can't talk about no matter what their beliefs are because I think it's important they understand each other (we have a lot of different belief systems represented).
Best story ever though - A kid fell down in my class (never ties his shoes) and he proceeds to yell, "PIMP DOWN, PIMP DOWN!" I've never laughed so hard in my life! He was in 3rd grade at the time. Hilarious!
So, there's your Monday student stories ![]()
