Re: Skinny Cow

  • I think they taste really good but am usually too cheap to buy them because DH won't stay out of them.  I do buy their single serving ice cream cups sometimes and I really like those.
  • It has been a couple years since I have bought them, but I remember thinking they were okay. Honestly, check the label. I found some of the Edys light ice cream to have less sugar, carbs & fat per serving size that some of the Skinny Cow and I think the Edys tastes better.

Ice cream sounds good! Stick out tongue

  • I like the Weight Watchers stuff better.

    In short, they're flippin' delicious.

Costco sells a box of their ice cream sandwiches for a pretty decent price.  Definitely cheaper than the grocery stores.  We recently got some with a Costco coupon thing and that made them an even better deal.

  • I have only tried their ice cream sandwiches and they are great!  I only buy them when they are on sale because they are kind of expensive, they are the same points as the ww ice cream sandwiches..  We love them...

Ditto this. We always get the Costco box when they have a coupon. Smile They're delicious! I've also tried the sundae cones and the truffles, etc. They've all been really good!

  • I suggest enjoying real ice cream!  If you are gonna 'cheat' on a diet, you might as well make it worth it and enjoy, right? :)

And if it's the same fat and calories as Edy's, I know Edy's is pretty good and they have a bunch of flavors to choose from.

Have you ever made your own ice cream?  I make my own and it is a little healthier and I know what's in it.

No but one of the items on my "wish list" is an ice cream maker.

  • I have never felt like skinny cow products taste diet-y. I like the sandwiches and they are big enough that I have cut them in half before and it totally took care of my craving.

I agree... I think the sandwiches could decrease in size by 25% and I would be totally happy with that.

skinny bear or whatever the klondike ones are, suck.  don't eat those.  they do taste like diet ice cream, yuck.

oh and i think edy's sucks.

Thanks Wendy.  Now I'm gonna feel like a total Haus when I eat the whole darn thing by myself.

DH really likes them too.  I swear he's eaten 85% of the box we bought and it really irritated me.  It reminded me of a poll that someone did on here once about the unspoken rules of sharing/eating fool in the same household.  Could just be the hormones, but I was like "WTF!? Where are all my ICE CREAMS?!?!" I think he was afraid to admit having eaten most of them. lol
