I guess even though I have nothing to say, I had hoped the board would be active today, because I'm trying to procrastinate at work.
What's everyone up to?
Re: where is everyone?
I'm busy today! I'm assigning cases for our dept and holding the consult/ emergency pager... I just finished meeting with a patient and decided to take another jab at logging into some account that I thought I locked myself out of (and is vital to doing my job). I finally, after a few months of trying, was able to unlock the account. I guess the security answers are case sensitive (would be nice if it said that on the site). Now I can really do my work!
Books read in 2011: 111

my read shelf:
I actually have work to do today. Can we discuss the fact I've been here 3.5 months and don't have a full load yet? sighhhhhh
I'm also vaguely browsing jobs b/c I don't want to be in the city forever, and it took a year to get this one...
I kinda feel just boring these days and don't have much to share.
Work sucks, the regulators were just here for 3 weeks and we're still in no better shape than we were. So everyone's in a bad mood.
I wish I knew what was happening in my life so I could start looking for a new freaking job!
I'm here just working and feel boring..
The only thing I"m doing is working on Josh's brithday party
What are you thinking of getting?
PS Your kitchen looks AMAZING. We were talking at the GTG about how amazed we all are at the work you and T have done to make that house a completely different house!!! It looks so fantastic. I'm jealous :-)
fun!! I figured out this weekend with all my driving what my CRV issue was - the blind spot is kind of big. Otherwise I loved it. Just something to keep in mind when backing up
my dad's car has this. vaguely creepy but it is awesome
We're looking at the Honda Pilot. Getting a new car wasn't even on our radar, but my parents are thinking of getting rid of one of their cars and my dad offered it to us. It's still worth about 20k trade in, and we know the GM of a Honda dealership, so if we can get a deal where we don't have to put much into a new (or new to us) car, we'll do it. All still very "if" right now though, but I can't help but look
And thanks (about the kitchen). I am seriously in love with it. While Tim was cleaning up last night, I sat on the floor and stared at the cabinets.
I like the pilot but it is just too big for us, as we have such tiny cars now and the CR-V seems huge to us! We also had a family friend help us that is a GM at a dealership so we got the CR-V at invoice :-) It is a sweet deal and we got .9% financing.
nice deal!
I know it's big, but I already drive a Ford Escape, so it won't be too big of an adjustment - I'm already used to being high up and it's just a little longer and wider than my car now.
Oh, totally. I am sure after a few years with the CRV we'll be ready for the next step up. Though I doubt a Pilot would fit in our tiny garage. haha. But I hear you. And babies come with a LOT of stuff. the Pilot has the 3rd row option I think and that is super nice. My friend has one and she loves it.
I am a little worried about the garage situation. I think it will fit, but the question is will it fit with Tim's car in there too.
I'm more worried about height. We only have a one-car garage anyway. My ILs are supposedly giving us their Infinite "next year" so then we will sell my car. We're trading Ken's in to buy the CRV. Then we will have two decent-sized cars (the infinite is a a sedan but bigger than my Mazda3), both with AWD. And both safer. So I'm happy.
See if they'll let you drive it home to test-drive it into the garage :-) just don't actually drive INTO the garage door like I did in February. haha.
yeah, we'll either test drive it home, or have my ILs come over and try (they have a 2011 Pilot)
I'm finding I'm only talking on the emails or FB page because of the content of my stories to share
I do wish our board was more active!
