methodist daycare

does anyone know of any way to get your kids into the daycare at methodist?!  anyone know how to find a phone number to call them?!

Re: methodist daycare

  • I believe you or your spouse has to be employed by Methodist or a related company.

    Their phone number is 241-8827.

Happy mom to two sweet, silly boys: Cohen age 4, AJ age 2.
  • as PP mentioned, i think methodist requires you/spouse to be employed through iowa health (because they only go through payroll deduct).  i know because my paychecks had a nice bite in them after daycare took their share :)

i will throw in a suggestion of children's garden on grand (next to DMUniversity).  it is the only parent cooperative remaining in this area (has a parent board, several family activities) and it is located within Wesley Acres, and the children visit their "grandmas and grandpas" weekly.  for those aspects and that i liked the ethnic diversity within the staff and students.  it sounds like you may be interested in cowles, but this daycare transports to a nearby pre-school, too!  for elementary, they transport to area schools such as hanawalt, greenwood, downtown school and hubbell.  PM me if you would like more info.

  • I guess I thought anyone could use methodist if there was an opening. I know it is more expensive per day than other places, but has a good part-time rate, which can be hard to come by, since they just charge by the day.  I was looking into it a while ago and they seemed to not have a problem w/ the fact that DH isn't technically an employee there, but maybe he is close enough since he has staff privileges there?

The place hope2send mentioned sounds cool too!

I didn't know we had one of these in DSM. My niece went to a daycare like this in Lincoln and BIL & SIL raved about it. I was always very intrigued by it.
