talk to me about menstrual cups
So last year I had a 300+ day period, and I've had quite a bit of spotting lately. I pretty much ruined most of my underwear and PJ pants, and several pairs of shorts because it got to the point where I just couldn't tolerate any more tampons or pads.
So talk to me about your cups ladies. What brands, what do you like about them, etc.

300+ days???
to answer your question, I use the Diva cup. I haven't tried any others, so I can't compare but it works for me. Others have cut off the tip, but I never bothered. I find that mine sits way far up inside me, but I can still get it out. It took a LOT of getting used to, though, and I almost gave up on it. Now I'm so used to it, I can't believe I ever used anything but.

You need a visit to your OB/GYN not just a Diva Cup. FWIW, I take a magical pill called Megace/Megesterol and it has transformed my life from 60 day periods to ones that last 6 days. You might ask about this, but definately see your physician. GL.
I'm hoping you're under the care of a doctor for your ceaseless bleeding.
That said, I've used a Diva cup for the last 8 years or so. I might buy a Lunette to try post-baby, being as I'll likely have to move up a size anyway. I'm interested in a design with slightly larger air holes than the Diva. That said, the Diva is the easiest to find (I can buy it in health food stores here). Best $35 I ever spent on a feminine hygiene product.

I trust you've seen a doctor about the excessive bleeding.
I don't have much to say about the diva cup other than that it is basically the best thing ever.
I used a Keeper cup (natural rubber version) for a decade. I got a new Lunette cup after DS was born. I like them both and haven't worn a tampon in about 12 years. I *hated* tampons because my flow is never predictable and it was just awful. But that's not a problem with a cup.
I also get days when I just can't stand the thought of having anything in me, so I have a few cloth pads for those days. I personally couldn't do those full time, but they're a nice backup and comfy as far as pads can be.
