Tuesday, Tuesday

I need this to be a good week.  I know it will be busy, but lets hope nothing goes horribly wrong.

*goosefraba*

Only 5 more days......(until Mother's Day) then it should be smooth(er) sailing.

Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

Re: Tuesday, Tuesday

  • Car acting up and we not sure why. We put a brand new battery in it yesterday and with in an hour of driving the damn things was dead. WTF!!! It drove fine for over a week and now this. Really! Really.

  • Oh yeah, it's your super busy season.  Good luck!

I'm really hoping I get hanging baskets or flowers that I can plant for my anniversary and Mother's Day this week.  My yard needs some sprucing.  :)

Which reminds me, I need to head to a nursery soon.  Maybe I should go tomorrow after work.  But I won't be able to hide a tree till Thursday.  Hmmm, what to do?

Alternator?  Bad battery hook up?  Bad battery cables?  I've had it happen when I drive over a big bump and the cables come loose.

    Sorry, that really stinks.

Everyone keep their fingers crossed that I get out of work around 5:00 today.  We're supposed to go register (baby) with friends after work.  I really don't want to cancel.

Could you leave it at one of your rentals and just give him a picture of the tree in a card ? I'm looking forward to seeing what you pick out!

    Fingers crossed and have fun!

  • Morning girls!  I only have two and tomorrow left of work, and then a 4-day weekend up at my parents condo in Manistee.  Its going to drag by.  I do have a pedi tonight, though!  $15, can you beleive it!  And its only like a mile from my house.  Anyone want to join me?  Tomorrow we are having dinner at Twisted Rooster for my grandpa's 92nd birthday (he loves TR).  Any idea of what to get him?  Just some generic ideas would be fine.  He is currently at a rehab facility from falling a few weeks ago but is supposed to go home this weekend.  His major interests are watching tv and doing crossword puzzles.  And he's not supposed to drive much over the next few weeks.  Ideas?

Oh yeah, I totally could, duh.  Our anniversary is on Thursday so if he gets it Wednesday it's not the end of the world.  :)  I'm such a drama queen.

Wow! Congrats and Happy Birthday to your grandpa on his 92nd birthday. I would probably get him a crossword puzzle book, pencils and a sharpener. And some candy if you know what he likes. My grandpa always liked Necco wafers.

And score on a $15 pedicure! Is that an everyday deal? Do you mind telling where you go? I love a good pedi deal.

    Drama queen- Hahaha!

Eh, when you put effort into a really cool gift like this, it's nice to have it work out exactly how you want it to work out. I would go through the extra effort to keep it a surprise until your anniversary, even it is only a day.

Thank you for reminding me that I have a gift certificate for a pedicure that expires on Sunday.  I just called and made an appointment.  :)  Enjoy yours tonight!

Happy birthday to your grandpa.  92 is awesome!  And yay for getting to go home this weekend!  My grandpa is turning 90 in October - all of his kids and a lot of his grandkids and great grandkids are flying to Florida and we're going to have a big party for him.  I'm super excited.

Those are some great birthday gift ideas!  I'll have to ask my dad what kind of candy he likes.  The salon I go to is V&L Nail Spa near the Family Fare on 28th and Cascade. Its just one of those asian salons, but they have the vibrating chairs, etc. $25 is their normal pedi price, but they are always running specials.  Last time I went it was 1/2 of pedis.  Right now its 1/2 off acrylics and $10 off pedis!

  • Hi ladies.  I am so freaking crabby/sensitive today it is not even funny.

Wop- Have fun registering.  Hope you get out of work in time.

Goodgollie- Enjoy your pedi.  And Happy 92nd to your Grandpa!

Des&Mol- Thought of you yesterday.  One of the trees in our yard just got some buds on it and it looks like it is going to be a Magnolia tree.  I'm excited.

Sorry that you are crabby.  Sad  I hate days like that.

Spring in a new house is really exciting, isn't it?  It's like eating a box of chocolates....haha.  Enjoy your pretty flowers and trees.  (I'm leaning toward a Magnolia tree...I know the flowers are really fragile but they are so so so pretty while in bloom.)

  • I have a lot of stuff going on and right now, I am sinking. Dont know what to do. But anyways.  Yesterday  tried American's Best for contacts and glasses. I am happy with the results. My perscriptions had changed since the the last exam I had was 4 years ago. I can actually see now. LOL. How far away should you be able to read the words speed limit?

  • We had showing #3 today.  Our house looks mighty good.

Jim graduates this Saturday.  He asked if we were going to have a party.  I asked if he wanted a party.  He said, "I dunno."  That means yes, I think.  But every weekend this month is booked.  It's okay to have a grad. party 6- 8 weeks later, right?

Does it have to be on a weekend?

    Huzzah for Jim!!

I would like to give props to the 80 year old woman driving behind me on lunch today.  She was driving about the same speed as me, which was 5-7 mph over the speed limit.  *highfive*  Even though she was driving behind me, I appreciate that she made an effort to drive the speed limit on a 2 way road and not slowing down the drivers behind her.  I would be happy to drive behind her any day.

6-8 weeks would be perfect for a summer BBQ! However hopefully you will be moving in 6-8 weeks. Wink  How about a nice dinner with a few close friends, even if it is a week night. With it being a dinner, you can invite the few you want.  With a graduation party, you have to invite more people, including people you may not want.

  • I should have been a realtor.  I do most of the damn work anyway.  Angry

My dad made an offer on a house yesterday, and the realtor called him today saying that the listing was removed, another offer was presented and accepted before his.

    Lie, lie, lie.

The house was taken off the market because they were lowering the price.  Way to do your job, a-hole.

    So annoying.
