Anyone else completely want to delete their friends list after the election last night? I have one guy comparing Harper to Hitler, another who is upset because he didn't want phone contracts anymore (really?) and the final one being DH cousin who informed the world of her strong dislike of Albertans and how we should all just be locked up and not allowed to vote. (I was born and raised in Calgary so this is a jerk comment)

I don't care who anyone chooses to vote for really, but for the love of god do you think before you put up these stupid status messages?

Thankfully, I don't have many fb friends who post stuff like that, so I can't relate (Hitler, really?!). But, I love hearing what others have to say (regardless of how inane) because it really gives me a more balanced perspective of what the political temp is in this country. I follow politics closely, and followed this election with much interest. I am not interested in personal attacks, I think they dumb down the debate. It is, in my opinion, exactly what is wrong with politics in this country. The result of this election is not what I had hoped for in many respects, but it's how our system works (for now - lol) and I totally accept it and will support it.

Most of my fb friends are also from/in Alberta, so I haven't had this problem.  Most of the statuses I read today were glad that Harper had a majority.
