Hi everyone! I have a meeting to go to in the Nashville area next month.
My mom is going to fly out to spend the weekend with me, so I was
looking for some suggestions on some places to sight see, restaurant
recs, anything you can think of to do while there for the weekend?
Also,
for hotels, what is the best area to stay in? Also, do you need to rent
a car while there or is there good public transportation/walking
distance, etc from different things?

Re: XP-Nashville Questions
walking/public transport suck in TN.
I would recommend staying downtown. I've only stayed at the Hilton and it was nice, but I think most of the hotels are acceptable.
Touristy things include Lower Broad (honky tonks). Country Music Museum, Frist Art Museum, Cheekwood gardens, Belle Meade Plantation, The Hermitage (Pres. Andrew Jackson's home), Historic Downtown Franklin (site of the deadliest battle of the civil war)
