I totally agree. Have you tried the jolly rancher one's, though. I like those better than the lifesaver brand.
You know what, I didn't even realize that Jolly Rancher had their own kind until today actually! They looked really good, although I resisted temptation and didn't buy them. Now I can't stop thinking about them. lol

We're going to paint it green, since we're team green. DH is going to put up a chair rail (white) and we're going to paint the top a solid grassy green and the bottom will be vertical stripes of the grassy green and a more pastel-ish shade.
DH sketched it all out in one of his design programs complete with a crib and a shelf w/ books & toys on it. It's very cute.
Oh, and I think it's important for you to buy some jolly rancher jelly beans. Not only is it research for future easters, but who knows how long till the stores run out. Between recovering from surgery and being pregnant, you can totally get away with it.
