BR:Dinner/Food Help

We are in a really hard stage with G and I'm hoping you mommas have some suggestions.

This all started about 2 weeks about but it's progressively getting worse and the last few days G has barely ate. Here's the situation: I offer G a variety of food she usually loves (peas, blueberries, yogurt, cheese, banana, etc) but she eats a few bites and then keeps asking for more. I can't figure out for the life of me what she wants, I'll offer her anything and she wants none of it. Today at lunch she asked for a 'nana'. I gave her one-she ate 2 bites, threw it on the floor and seconds later was reaching for the bananas and saying nana. I offered her a banana again-repeat scenario. This happens with lots of foods like peas, milk/bottles, etc.

Any advice? She is hardly eating and meal time is a struggle. Food is all over the floor, she's asking for more and whining because she's hungry but nothing is making her happy! I'm at a loss....plus today has been a long day :-(

  • I hate to say it, but I think she's testing you and now it's becoming a game for her.  Welcome to having a 1 year old :o)

Here is my 2 cents.  I know you want her to eat, but if you want the behavior to stop, once she throws something, that means she's done eating.  It's just a phase, and I promise she won't starve herself.
