How's everyone doing today?

We're midway through the week and I've about had enough of it already.  How is everyone else doing today?  Is your week going by fast or slow?  Anything fun/exciting happen so far or has it been the standard week for you?  Anything really p*ssing you off this week?

It's been a pretty exciting week here.  We had our federal election on Monday, and I work for Elections Canada, so it's been a fun and buys week.  I love when I get to talk about politics everywhere I go Big Smile

We're having our "housewarming" BBQ this weekend, so I'm really excited to show off our new house to our friends.

  • Currently, I'm annoyed as can be.  My coworkers never book meetings/utilize Outlook and I was just asked if I'm available for a meeting in 3 hours for a company rep from elsewhere to come in and do a presentation...and DH and I are planning on meeting for a bday lunch.  Seriously people, friggin use Outlook or at least be polite enough to give more than 3 hours notice on a meeting with an outside company!! Grrrr!!!!

Otherwise; things are good.  I'm happy it's Wednesday; I switched up my hair products and seem to be having a good hair day.  Tonight we're going to the Bulls game.

The weather is still cold and crappy though.

  • I think the first words out of my mouth today were "three more days until the weekend."  I am starting to catch up at work, but all three of the courses I teach are doing a lot of lab work this week so I have chemicals and equipment all over the place, it drives me crazy!

Tonight is the last night before DH's next homestand which starts tomorrow so we are planning on grilling out and actually enjoying each other's company before we go 8 days with barely seeing each other.

  • My week is going pretty quickly, especially considering I've woken up miserable yesterday and today for no reason at all.  I keep thinking I might be getting sick because I'm dragggggging, but I don't feel any other symptoms.

The only fun/exciting thing is that we booked our dance lessons this morning and we can call and schedule them when ever we'd like and at that time we can choose the dance we want to learn!  We have quite a few weddings this year so it'll be so much fun to bust out some of these new moves.

I'm a little pissed off at the scale.  Since last Tuesday I've been really, really watching what I've been eating and have been doing light workouts almost every day.  I weighed in yesterday to see my progress and I'm not where I wanted to be.  I know, I know it's only been a week - but it's annoying!

My ring finger is pissing me off.  I haven't worn my rings for 24 hours and now when I went to put them on this morning, it's all red!  And it wans't even red before!  I just forgot my rings at home yesterday!  UGH!

  • I'm still waiting on a close date for my house :-(  The lawyers are still working out title issues.  In the meantime I'm living at my parents house and they are not quiet at all in the morning, so I'm looking forward to getting a good nights sleep once we move into the house.

  • Meh. Today's not too exciting. I've had a headache since yesterday that's sucking all my energy, and the weather is cold and crappy. I want to just sleep in for once, I missed out last weekend between moving DHs crap and a long run I had to get in. I'm counting down til the weekend.

The royal wedding has also taken hostage of my brain - I have no idea why because I really didn't care about it until it happened. But now after seeing it on the DVR I keep thinking about what it's like to live that lifestyle, have that kind of wedding, etc. I just can't get it out of my head and I NEED to because seriously, it's not that big of a deal. haha.

My weeks been stupid.  Without going into too much detail, I haven't been feeling well, works just been slow and boring, and I got in a fight with my Mom the other night which really makes me dread having to spend Mother's Day with her.  On a brighter note though, Jason has been working some shifts at Walmart to make up for his hours being cut at his other job, and he found out today that they have a generic version of his insulin for $25.00 a bottle.  We have been paying $62.00 a bottle at Giant and CVS because they told us it was the cheapest kind they had...so yay for Walmart!  It's going to save us around $75.00 per month.

Thanks, I appreciate it!  He said the generic insulin is the same percentages as the insulin he's been on....70% fast acting, 30% long acting, so hopfully it works exactly the same.  Smile

That sucks. Just try to think about how much you'll REALLY appreciate having the house to yourselves once everything goes through. We had issues closing on our house too, of course the sellers lawyer made a mistake, and thankfully our lawyer caught it.

Hope they get a closing date for you soon!

My weeks been sh!tty. My Aunts back in the hospital, my iggy ate string and she's going to the vet tonight. DH has me doing this Spartacus workout and tons of cardio, which makes walking difficult, but lets face it I need to shed some lbs. And I finally found out why my lady parts are in pain, and theres not really much that can be done about it.

I am in a p!ssy mood......here's to hoping next week is better.

  • It's been kind of a crummy week here...I have this annoying cough, our house is a mess and we're having both families over this weekend for mother's day, and I had testing this afternoon so I got to spend 2.25 hours with my homeroom annoyances after they were fully awake!  Tonight we are going out to eat and to my band concert because we're not sure it won't be the last one and that makes me very sad!

  • Oh and we got a letter today offering us rather large bonuses for the rest of our teaching career if we go on our spouses insurance (I guess the theory being that the premium they pay on us would be more in the future and this will save them...) only to find out my husband's insurance won't allow us to switch so no extra $ a month...and if we ever do go back on his insurance his doctor's not covered anymore.
