I'm in a totes bitchy mood today.  Does that count as a confession?  Oh, and I made the word for wordless wednesday "patriotic" so that I can post my trashy red, white, and blue manicure later today.  Because I'm shallow like that.

  • I do..

I havent folded laundry in about 2 weeks so we are dressing ourselves out of the laundry hampers. Not such a big deal but we all look like wrinkled messes.

Days like today I miss just being Montana. Dont get me wrong I love Logan with all my heart but I am exhausted and still not feeling well so I am having a hard time balancing the things I need with the things that she needs.

I have been absent from the board for awhile but I miss you ladies and trying my hardest to get back in the swing of things.

  • I confess that every time a SIL or MIL posts on FB about their upcoming Hawaii trip I feel like they are rubbing in the face of DH and myself.  I can't begin to tell you how much happier DH and I are now that we aren't going and having to spend that outrageous amount of money.  His sisters and mom hold a grudge though and can't respect the fact that we are putting thousands into our house rather than a vacation.

I confess that I have a$$loads of work to do right now and I am nesting.  I've been so busy with work the last few weeks, I just want to be lazy for a day.

Montana-I am with you on the laundry thing, I haven't done laundry in a week and half or cleaned the house in over 2 weeks.  Our house disgusts me right now.

I confess that I fully intend to start slowly phasing my Mom out of my life.  I almost didn't do the siggy challenge because I'm so annoyed with her, but I gave in.  She's just such a self-righteous b*tch.  I had a 45 minute phone conversation with her the other night and not once did she ask me anything about my life (She never does though, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised), then when I finally gave my opinion on something (rather than just agreeing with her) she got all nasty with me.  Screw that...I don't need her sorry a$$ in my life.

*TMI*  I confess that last night Jason wanted to have sex but I just didn't feel like putting the effort in, so I turned him down and instead ended up using my vibrator a few hours later. Surprise

  • This is so stupid.  Yesterday I wore shoes like these to work;

    image

Well, they are about 6 years old, but since I only wear them in the summer, and only a few times a year - they are still in great condition.

I was at my desk and went to roll my chair back so I dug my feet in the ground and pushed myself backwards... yea.. the cork/heel and platform actually separated from the snakeskin/shoe.  Indifferent The reason I was rolling out was because we had a meeting.  Sommmehow everyone gathered in my office and we just spoke there so I didn't have to get up.

I called our Help Desk and asked for glue lol He brought it to me and I Gorilla-glued my sh!t back together to get me through the day!  As I was walking out the door, the Help Desk guy was like "Did ya glue together..whatever..you..had to.....glue?" hahaha I just busted out laughing and said yes, thank you! Embarrassed

Gorilla glue is AMAZING. Seriously, it's not even "just" glue. it's like a bonding agent or something.

  • Becca - I LOVE gorilla glue!  It puts Elmers to shaaaame.

Maybe here's the true confession.. I also glued the liner down since it flapped when I stepped.  Swear, they felt like brand new lol

Confession- I absolutely dread taking my Iggy to the vet. I've grown up with dogs, and cats and was always the one responsible for taking the family dog to the vet when I lived with my parents. So it never bothers me. But I always feel like I'm a terrible Ig mom. Like I'm not doing it right.

The vet always assures me that she looks great, and her colors are wonderful, she super strong, and for being dwarfed she should actually live much longer than expected. (dwarfed igs usually only live to 7 or 8, non-dwarfed can live to 20. Oh and it was her first owners that thought it'd be brilliant to raise her in an 80g tank, Not me!). She's 8 now, and I feel like she's slowing down a lot...and it makes me sad.

2nd Confession - My Aunts back in the hospital and her daughters being a hooker. I'm probably going to drive down there and knock my cousin right in the face. Seriously, 24 years old and she acts like she's 12...I'm sick of it.

I am a horrible dog mom because I just had to go and look at the date of a photo of Jaz from when she was a puppy, to remember how old she is.  I was about to type that she was 7... She's actually just turned 9!  How did I lose 2 full years???

Then I opened the picture that I looked up, and I almost cried.  :-(  My baby is all grown up and is getting old.  :-(  She's really slowing down and she's even pottied in her crate a couple of times in the past few months, at night.  And she's never EVER done that before.  I know it's just because she's getting older.  ACDs can live for a LONG time (I think the record holder for oldest dog is an ACD) but she's still getting old and I didn't even realize it really.  Makes me misty.  :-(

    But look how sweet!!!

  • Speaking of dogs...we're bad dog parents.

We stopped Oscar on heartworm and fleas medicine in the winter (some people say you don't need it then b/c of the cold) and we haven't started up again yet.  I keep forgetting to order it

  • My in-laws are coming on Saturday for mother's day and our house looks like @ell...I had extra time at work to work on grades (during testing) and put it off to do at home because I prefer the way my window scrolls here and then agreed when my husband suggested going out to eat and putting cleaning off another day

We did the same thing. This is their first week back on Frontline but I still need to order more heartworm meds. One of ours is also due for his rabies shot too :(  Think we will wait for the next free clinic, though.

  • My confession:  I have seriously been neglecting my husband's needs.  With all the stress of my impending unemployment and the ridiculous job search, I am exhausted and just down.  I know he misses the affection but I just can't get into it or even fake it.  I feel like a bad wife

Let me confess what bad dog parents we are....

Two weekends ago I was clipping Miley's hair on her feet with scissors.  My intelligent DH decided this was a great time to get Daisy all riled up and running around us.  I felt Daisy encounter my scissors and told DH to stop, he insisted she was fine until two minutes later when she had blood all around her eyeball.  I got it cleaned up and she was acting fine so we decided against a vet visit (knowing it was going to be several hundred dollars for anything eye related).  She has remained fine since it happened, but I felt AWFUL at the time.
