Vote on my grandma name (Poll)

So, for those of you who live in Outer Mongolia and/or don't pay attention to tickers, I'm gonna be a grandma.  For those of you who are nosy, yes, I'm too young.  I will be 38 in August, but that's what happens when you have babies young, so I can live with it.

That said, what I can't live with is being called "Grandma".  It's not working for me at all.  "Grandma" has grey hair and bakes cookies and is waaaay sweeter than I will ever be.  So I'm going to need a new name.

My current (step)grandkids refer to me as "Emmy", but I'm not religiously attached to that for this one, since (s)he (pleeeeease be a girl, little appleseed baby!) will be different in that (s)he will be a biological grandkid.

I voted for Nan.  We have always called my Mom's Mom Nanny or Nan for short.  You can sometimes even find greeting cards with it on.  A friend of mine's Mom likes to be called "G" instead of grandmom but I hate it, I think it's trying to be too modern/cool.  I say stick with something a little more traditional but that's just my opinion.

Also, GiGi sounds like a yappy little dogs name to me, I don't know why lol

I like Emmy a lot, is it something the kids just came up with on their own?  I voted for special snowflake option for that reason.  I like when the grandkids come up with something as they learn to talk.  My mom is Mammo because that's what my niece could pronounce and it stuck. I've heard other kids call their grandparents that too, so it must be easy for young ones to say.

I think Emmy is adorable! 

Plus, my grandmother is Grammi to me and my sister.  Then our younger cousins came along and started calling her Nanny.  It kind of screwed everything up.  She will sometimes sign cards that she sends to me, "Love, Nanny and Papa," and will have to go back and fix it.  Not to mention that she makes signs for her yard (among other things) that say Nanny's house...and it kind of bugs me in a very immature way

So...for simplicity sake...my vote is Emmy.

Emmy actually comes from the way my step-granddaughter said Erin when she first met me.  It came out more like "Em", and the "-my" just kind of got added along the way.  Plus, Em is a young adult nickname of mine, based on my previous married initials (EM)

I'm snowflake because I'm indecisive-of course I want to call my mother -in-law Granny Smith because I think it is funny that it's an apple so my judgement might not be the bestI like Emmy in that it doesn't really sound grandmotherly at all, but I like Nan in that it is grandmotherly but could also be construed as short for Nancy or something so it isn't oh look that that granny...Even though this child is different in being biological I'm not so sure I'd swtich things-although it could work my Gram was apparently Mahmah for the first two grandkids but then got switched to Gram with either the next or me and by my earliest memories we all referred to her that way...
