How would you secure your fallow garden?

I will be letting the garden space go fallow this year because I will be way too pregnant or be recovering during the most important times in the garden.

What would you do to keep weeds at bay and keep it in good shape to use next year? Would tilling and then staking a tarp over the area help?

Re: How would you secure your fallow garden?

  • You should consider a cover crop to improve the soil and then turn it over in the fall so it is ready next spring.
