Possibly cancer without insurance?

My lifelong best friend just found out that her mother (who is practically my mother too!) has a lump the size of a big cucumber in her abdomen. She does not have health insurance and because of that has not made an appointment. She doesn't really trust doctors anyway and I want to help but I want to make sure if I show her any research or hosipitals that they will take the best care of her and work with her financial situation. She lives in the Fort Worth area. Can anyone help me out finding some hospitals or something around there that can help. It's been a month already since my bff found out!!

Maybe you should post this on your local board.  But you can try to look for charity that helps people without insurance.  Also, some clinics see patients without insurance and help with the payment.  Again, I do not know the area at all so hopefully someone local can help with this?
