CAn we talk hemorrhoids? What works for you and when do you need to call the doctor?
Re: TMI question
DH has real bad hemorrhoids. He has tried the creams and didn't find too much relief. He showers after going to the bathroom (same idea as a sitzbath, but those kind of gross him out). He has had surgery (well, the procedure where they tie the hemorrhoids off with an elastic and the lack of blood supply causes them to dry up and fall off/shrink).
He talked to his doctor when he was bleeding practically every day, and losing a lot of blood each time. He hated the surgery and the relief he felt was only temporary.. He has said that he'll deal with his hemorrhoids rather than voluntarily going through that procedure again. His hemorrhoids were quite bad before so I don't know how much worse he'd let them go.
I got bothersome hemorrhoids during my 2nd pregnancy, and they got worse after delivery. Mine itch more than anything else. I don't do much for them aside from sitting on an ice pack when it gets bad, and trying not to wipe hard. I use a wet wipe when there's a particularly messy BM or when I bleed. I'm considering buying some Tucks pads or Witchhazel to have on hand to wipe with but keep forgetting.
I am not sure anything is TMI on this board ;-)
I had them bad after Ben - Tucks pads were my best friend.

There isn't much that's TMI in here. If so, I wouldn't be able to speak!!
If you're already doing all these things it sounds like you need a doctor's help. Which you've already done apparently. You may need surgery. My Dad had it and he said it was life changing! HAAA!!
Good luck!
