Callaway Gardens?  DH and I are thinking about taking an overnight trip there during Festival of Lights.  Has anyone stayed in Callaway Gardens?

We haven't stayed overnight, but we have a yearly pass, so we go there all the time! I love the Fantasy in Lights, it's my favorite (that and the butterfly garden).  We have talked about staying over there, but that's as far as it's gotten.

We went a couple of years ago to see Fantasy in Lights.  The lights are great and worth the trip in my opinion.  It would probably been a better trip if we had stayed overnight and not drove up there with me, dh, mil, sil and bil.  To many people in the chrystler 300!!  I was so carsick Once we got there it was great though.

I would also suggest doing the ride through that they provide rather than driving through yourself.   I think it's a better experience with the story and the music and all.

We get in free during the year w/our corp cards, then we get discounted "lights" tickets.  It's a great trip and I would suggest it definitely.

I think they list times that aren't as crowded too, as I know that the closer it is to when school is out the more crowded it is.

My MIL just stayed there and really liked it, she said there was lots to do. She had a great time and said the accomadations were nice. Sounds like fun

I agree!  I did this when I was still in school and it's so cool.  I'm ashamed to say that we've never been to the Galaxy of Lights in Huntsville, but it probably wouldn't live up to Callaway.  Have never stayed overnight...
